DVLA Requirements
We are obliged to follow all legal requirements set by DVLA when making a customer's licence plate. Therefore, we are required to obtain original physical documentation of identification and proof of entitlement of a licence plate. Documents can be uploaded when ordering and will be checked before your order is created.
The accepted documents to prove identification are:
- A Provisional licence
- Drivers Licence of any country
- Passport of any country
- Utility bill, council tax or rates bill in Northern Ireland (from the last 6 months)
- Bank Statement (from the last 6 months)
- Police Warrant Card
- Armed Forces identity card
The following documents can be used to prove entitlement of a registration number:
- Vehicle registration certificate (V5C)
- New keeper slip (Green slip)
- A certificate of entitlement (V750)
- A retention document (V778)
- A renewal reminder for vehicle tax or SORN (V11)
- A temporary registration certificate (V379)
- A number plate authorisation certificate (V948) with an official stamp from DVLA
- An electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948)
You are required to upload 1 of each accepted document (1 document to prove identity and 1 document to prove entitlement). If a document fails to match the customer's details such as name and address, the order will be delayed until appropriate documentation is received.
