We are obliged to follow all legal requirements set by DVLA when making a customer's licence plate. Therefore, we are required to obtain original physical documentation of identification and proof of entitlement of a licence plate. This should be sent to us in the post to the address given in the order confirmation email.

The accepted documents to prove identification are:

• A Provisional licence
• Drivers Licence of any country
• Passport of any country
• Utility bill, council tax or rates bill in Northern Ireland (from the last 6 months)
• Bank Statement (from the last 6 months)
• Police Warrant Card
• Armed Forces identity card

The following documents can be used to prove entitlement of a registration number:

• Vehicle registration certificate (V5C)
• New keeper slip (Green slip)
• A certificate of entitlement (V750)
• A retention document (V778)
• A renewal reminder for vehicle tax or SORN (V11)
• A temporary registration certificate (V379)
• A number plate authorisation certificate (V948) with an official stamp from DVLA
• An electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948)

You are required to send 1 of each accepted document (1 document to prove identity and 1 document to prove entitlement). If a document fails to match the customer's details such as name and address, the order will be delayed until appropriate documentation is received.
